The event is hosted by Honor Bound FIT, a veteran-owned strength and conditioning facility, and it benefits Hero’s Bridge, a nonprofit serving aging veterans. Sponsored by the Virginia Army National Guard, GUIDON22 brings veterans, first responders, and patriots side by side for a shared mission: to carry the standard forward. Whether you’re a seasoned rucker or taking your first step, GUIDON22 is an opportunity to challenge yourself, honor our nation’s heroes, and stand for purpose beyond the uniform.
The name GUIDON22 ties military tradition to our mission. A guidon is a battle standard—a small flag carried at the front of a unit to mark its position, rally the troops, and symbolize their purpose. Before radios, it was how soldiers knew where their unit stood and that their brothers and sisters were still in the fight. To us, the guidon is a reminder to step up, be visible, and lead from the front—especially when others are struggling in silence.
The “22” represents the 22 veterans we lose each day to suicide. By carrying that number in our name, we keep the cause front and center. GUIDON22 isn’t just a fitness event—it’s a beacon. It’s a call to pick up the standard, carry the weight, and rally together for those who can’t fight their battles alone anymore.
